Melbourne-based full-service agency BroadWeb Digital have announced the acquisition of Queensland-based web design and development firm, Geek Creative in a strategic move that expands its Australian footprint.
The acquisition will provide more value to Geek Creative’s existing clients by directly opening up BroadWeb’s full suite of services in the digital space to them. The list includes some notable local QLD businesses like WalshAndFord and AG Rigging.
Speaking on the acquisition, BroadWeb Digital Founder Venkatesh Kanchan said:
“The pandemic has shown us that businesses are increasingly opening up to engaging value providers like BroadWeb regardless of physical proximity. This acquisition is a first step in that direction as it broadens our horizon beyond Melbourne and Sydney which has been our primary focus so far.”
GeekCreative Founder Warren Apelt said:
“Having partnered with BroadWeb Digital for a number of years on our projects, when the time came to shift focus to other ventures, they were our first port of call as we knew our client base will be in good hands with the BroadWeb team.”
