Twitter Traffic is ‘Tanking’ as Meta’s Threads Hits 100 million Users
User traffic on Twitter has slowed since the launch of Meta’s text-based platform Threads, which has already surpassed 100 million sign-ups since its debut last week.
Threads is even being touted by Meta executives like Instagram chief Adam Mosseri as a more positive “public square” for communities “that never really embraced Twitter.” So far, users seem to be on board.

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk launched an artificial intelligence company called xAI on Wednesday, vowing to develop a generative AI program that competes with established offerings like ChatGPT.
The company employs some engineers who formerly worked for major companies in the field like Google and OpenAI, the xAI website said.
Musk, who has previously criticized the pace and ambitions of recent developments in AI, said in a Twitter Spaces on Wednesday that he entered the industry reluctantly.

2.5 Million Affected by UK Hospital Cyber Attack
Barts Health NHS Trust, which runs five London-based hospitals and delivers care for over 2.5 million people, confirmed it is investigating a ransomware incident after it was added to the dark web leak site of Russian-speaking ransomware gang ALPHV, one of the year’s most prominent ransom gangs.
The gang claims to have stolen 7TB after publishing a purported sample of the stolen data online.
