Venkatesh (Venks) Kanchan is a Director & Principal Consultant at BroadWeb Solutions.

At BroadWeb, Venks helps organisations with making their online presence become a competitive advantage for them. He works one-on-one with businesses to uncover their pain points, map their digital journey and then leverages an experienced team of digital marketing and technology experts in delivering effective outcomes and positive ROI.

For his work, Venks draws upon 20+ years of experience in technology leadership working across industries including but not limited to media, sports and gaming and companies like Yahoo!7.

Hailing from a family of lawyers, Venks chose to break with tradition and pursue engineering and follow what truly interested him as he strongly believes one’s best work comes out of doing what they love. He completed his Masters Degree in Information Science with high distinction from The University of New South Wales and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Telecommunications from Karnatak University, India.

Humility, Curiosity and Empathy are values that Venks holds close and have held him in good stead over the years. A big believer in growth mindset, he wishes to see or influence this virtue in everyone he comes across in personal or professional life.

Venks is father of two boys who love sport, Krish for whom cricket is a passion and plays in first grade seniors’ team for his club besides junior cricket and Vivaan who is a bit of a whiz at Maths.

When he is not working, you will find Venks absorbing random bits of knowledge from across the Internet, keeping himself updated with the latest in digital, or watching live sport barracking for Sydney Swans in AFL, Western United FC in Soccer or the Eels in Rugby League.
